Planning for upcoming remembrance

We are currently in the beginning stages of planning a remembrance fire for Missing Murdered Indigenous Men at the City location of the Sacred Fire at Royal City Park on Jun 6th, 2026.

We will be planning and discussing this at our Family nights on Fridays, you are welcome to come if you would like be involved or if you would like to come share about a relative or someone you knew that you would like remembered or maybe you would like to speak about at this remembrance fire. Even if you would like to just share privately, we are more than happy to meet with you seperately and privately to hear you and about them.

Blue Jean Jacket Day (held annually on June 6) is a grassroots campaign dedicated to honoring and raising awareness for Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Men and Boys (MMEIMB). It acts as a counterpart to Red Dress Day, providing a specific symbol—the blue jean jacket—to honor indigenous men and boys as loved, valued, and remembered.
